Please listen to this – it is worth it, There has been a lot of nonsense spoken about how China has changed since this massacre of the heroic Tiananmen protestors of 1989 – it hasn’t. There is a lot of nonsense about what they were fighting for – they weren’t fighting for capitalism – they have that. They were fighting for democracy – and there is little or no democracy in China. There are people still fighting for trade union rights, for housing rights, against huge inequality. They face huge repression. we have to find a way to support them.
